Professional Engineers/Building Owners/Goverment Departments/Local Councils
SSRNZ provide detailed evaluations of building composition, connection details, reinforcing location, estimated size, depth. All findings from our investigations are compiled into our comprehensible reports which are then presented to the engineer for his/her evaluations. Report images can be in 2D or 3D with multilayer reinforcing.

Construction Industry/Building Owners/Concrete Cutting and Drilling
SSRNZ work with main contractors, sub contractors, steel fabricators and site engineers to provide the location of reinforcing rods, plastic conduit, within existing columns, beams walls and floors to prevent drilling strikes to structurally significant reinforcing. This is particularly important with seismic upgrades and structural steel to existing concrete connections.

SSRNZ can detect the following in concrete elements:

  • Reinforcing steel:

    • Position
    • Depth
    • Determine estimated diameter
    • Reinforcing location to 400mm deep
    • Multilayer or single layer reinforcing

 

  • Concrete Wall/Floor:

    • Thickness (slab, wall)
    • Locate voids in block walls and determine where bond columns and beams are located.
    • Brick walls are single layer or multilayer, determine thickness and if there is a cavity between each face.


With the latest software SSRNZ are able to produce both 2D and 3D images including slices of layers of each scanned area.
